ABOUT ME
I am a Connecticut-based artist working primarily with seaglass and other found materials, mostly coastal. What began as a ritual of walking and collecting — noticing the shape and texture of a sliver of glass, the color on a sea-tossed porcelain shard, the quiet beauty available when you stop to see it -- became something of an obsession.
Over time, the ritual became a worldview. Observation and contemplation became a practice. I find gorgeousness in what has been softened and shaped by time. Curating color, composition, shape, texture and the interplay of shadow and translucence, my work centers on themes of emotional weather: calm, turbulence, reinvention and renewal.
